I wasn't terribly organized or timely in the garden department this year, mainly because we just weren't sure what sort of space we were going to make. As of last weekend we did get our tiny little vegetable garden all planted, but I've got these zinnias and pumpkins started out front, a project done mostly for the kids' amusement. I think these will end up going on the slope in the former poison ivy farm - now cleared and covered with weed block fabric. Over time, more shrubs and perennials will go there but we've about maxed out the plant budget for the year, so I think we'll settle for a pumpkin patch!
