I still have about 2 weeks of august to catch up with, but since today is the last day of the month, and it was the first day of school, I'll just share this of my 5th and 2nd grader (oh my!) and catch up further later!

New car. Not ours, just keeping busy while waiting for emissions testing. 

New friends. At press time they are now chrysalises and soon will be butterflies! 

New washer! At long last!

With apologies, I don't know where the time goes. I'm also lacking decent pictures lately, so I'm going to try to backfill with some highlights before the month is over. We've been home for a week or so now, catching up on the usual things, planning new projects, and even squeezed in a beach day!

I love how kids find endless amusement in unlikely places. We've been chauffeuring my mom to physical therapy (shoulder surgery) and the kids just love love love the lobby of the building it is in. Passing a half hour here is easy with stairs to climb and elevators to ride. Who needs summer camp?
