I'm so sad, because I just wrote a very witty post all about my knitting three hats in eleven days, and blogger just totally ate it. I don't know if I can write it all again, especially at 11:52 at night. But I'll try again with the pictures at least, and you'll have to piece together all that I meant to say about the satisfaction of using leftover yarn, about the pleasure of making cute things for my kids, and about the hockey reference. And while he didn't yet get a new hat, M did wear these on his feet for a few hours one day which was equally fantastic:
